This is my most plentiful wood. A few years ago, a friend asked me if I wanted a quantity of Oak that his school was looking to get rid of. I agreed and a few days later, I came home and found a my garden full of about 10 huge planks of wood. 5cm thick, 50cm wide and several metres long! When I made the first pen, I was amazed at how beautiful the grain is. It flows in different directions and looks amazing when polished to a shine.
